This is the last meeting as President for Doug, John Coyle takes over June 1, 2018.  Our next Member meeting will be on October 16, 2018.

VP, Rick Yeo:  N/R

Rick welcomed the new Board Members and said he enjoyed his years on the Board.  Ron Hagedorn will take over Rick’s duties on June 1, 2018.

Secretary, John Whitney: N/R

Treasurer: Gary Druckrey:  Clarke Sharar will be taking over this position next season.

Club Liaison: Bob Larsen:  Richard Warburton, who is replacing Bob as Liaison representative, gave the report.

The Employee Golf outing is June 7th.  Any Cart donations will be appreciated (call Bob Breidenbach if you can make your Cart available).

Andy Diaz reported that Olive tree spraying is underway and should be completed the week of May 14th.

The Greens were “Aerified the week of April 30th, using small Tines.  Daily bunker maintenance is planned.  The Course will be closed on June 14th to let the green’s “rest”.

To further improve the greens, there are plans to implement a program of flushing the greens monthly for an hour and adding nutrients.  Work will commence in June to expand the main practice putting green and the one near the first tee.

If the HOA Board releases the funds, the following projects are planned:

Rebuild bunker at the #4 Practice area, including adding drainage, barrier material and new sand consisting of 50% Tan and 50% Augusta White.

Leveling Tees: Bob B. and Andy will evaluate all the tee boxes and decide which ones need to be addressed this summer.  There will be some adjustments to the tee boxes while this work is being completed.  The plan is to cut the sod, grade and level using a laser.  MGC member Gary Johnson has the equipment and experience with this procedure.  He will lend his expertise to the process.

Member -at-Large, John Coyle: Thanks to all the Board Members who will be stepping down this season.  Doug has done a great job of leading the Board for three years.

We need “new blood” on the Board.  We want the MGC to stay current and relative.  If you know of new PDG residents who want to or have joined the Men’s Club recently, please encourage them to consider getting involved.

Member -at-Large, Tony Tilt: N/R

Handicap, Clint Jay: “Adios”!!  Steve Warren takes over as HCP Chair on June 1, 2018

Clint will be available to help Steve through the rough parts.

Membership, Brian Duckworth: Good bye from Brian who will be stepping down also.  Doug Hodson will take over his responsibilities.

Tournaments, Orest Kruhlak:

Doug reported that the Tournaments are set for next Season.  We now begin the Sponsor search.  Chris Marshall and Bob Shakespeare will take over Tournament activities June 1.

OLD BUSINESS:  None

NEW BUSINESS:  Doug reported that the Welcome Back lunch will be on November 15, 2018 in the Main Ballroom.  Pizza and Beer will be served.  We will buy Pizza’s from COSTCO and the beer will be purchased through the Club.

Doug and Andy attended the CV Water District meeting and learned that Indian Ridge, Oasis and Woodhaven will be participating in the Potable Water program next season.

Members are still parking too close to the greens and we need more enforcement.

There was a short discussion about Handicap flags/parking next to greens and Doug said that Bob B. controls that program.  It is probable that we will not issue flags for carts as it will start an uncontrollable problem as to who deserves one and who doesn’t.  More later.

CLOSING REMARKS (PRESIDENT):  None
